CLIP FOR CHAIN

PURPOSE:To facilitate installation of a clip and ensure to prevent it from falling off by providing, on the rear-side engaging part with respect to a pin groove, a pair of protruding portions whose pointed ends are narrower than the diameter of the pin groove. CONSTITUTION:On a clip 1 are provided a rear-side pin engaging part 2, an intermediate annular hole 3, a linked hole 4, a front-side pin engaging part 5 and opening parts 6, 6'. The rear-side pin engaging part 2 is a concentric circle with respect to a pin groove, and the radius R of the pin engaging part 2 is made equal to the radius of the pin groove. In addition, on the connection to the linked hole 4 are provided protruding portions 8, 8' at the distance between their pointed ends narrower than the groove diameter of a pin 10. When the clip 1 is installed, the front side pin 10' enters between the opening parts 6, 6', and the clip 1 is caused to make an elastic deformation centering around the fulcrum E so that it is opened, and then, the protruding portions 8, 8' are also enlarged to the larger than the groove diameter of the pin 10. In addition, the rear-side and front-side pins 10, 10' are located at the engaging parts 2, 5 so that the clip 1 is closed. After these pins enter the engaging parts, it becomes difficult to open the protruding portions 8, 8' from the inside, and consequently, it is ensured that the chip is prevented from falling off the position.
