COLOR PICTURE TUBE

PURPOSE:To improve the doming of a shadow mask type color picture tube by forming ceramic layers of high rigidity for preventing the doming on the both surfaces of the mask of the said color picture tube and coating electorconductive materials on the said ceramic layers. CONSTITUTION:A color picture tube is constructed with a cathode-ray tube 1 on the inside surface of the face plate 2 of which a fluophor film 3 is adhered and a shadow mask 4 provided facing to the said film. In this configu ration, the mask 4 is constructed with a metalic base plate 41 having a large number of apertures 44 for passing through electron beams, and on the both surfaces of the mask ceramic layers 42 are sprayed and further electro-conductive layers 43 are coated. That is, at first macromolecules composed mainly of Ti diluted with xylene solution are sprayed together with air from a nozzle on the said base plate, and after drying naturally a sol solution of tin oxide and antimony oxide is sprayed on the layer. Thereby the displacement of the beam in the mask can be decreased to reduce the doming of the cathode-ray tube.
