PAD HEIGHT ADJUSTING DEVICE FOR MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To contrive the miniaturization and thinning of a pad adjusting part by providing three sets of pad height adjusting means not being positioned on a straight line. CONSTITUTION:Two adjusting screws 35 and 36 are arranged at the outer periphery side of a pad 24, and are abutted with screw receptacles 38 and 39 arranged respectively at the positions of the substrate 30 of a deck main body corresponding to the screws. Therefore, by turning the screws 35 and 36 to perform the positioning of the height of the pad 24, it is possible to adjust the height of the pad 24 in a right and a left directions. Also, it is possible to accurately perform adjustment so as to press a magnetic recording disk 16 by the pad 24. Furthermore, on the inner periphery side of the pad 24, an adjusting screw 40 is mounted at a pad arm 23, and since the adjusting screw 40 is constituted so that the head of the screw is always abutted with the pad arm 23, the position adjustment on the inner periphery side can be easily performed by turning the screw 40. So that the titled device is constituted in such a way, the pad 24 small in size can be used, and it is possible to form the whole of a device in a small size, and a thin type without lowering an adjusting function capable of performing a three-point adjustment.
