Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:The titled fiber suitable for binding non-woven fabric of polyester fibers to provide flexible non-woven fabric and containing a binder component comprising a polyester composed of a specific dicarboxylic acid component and a specific alkylene glycol component. CONSTITUTION:A >=14C straight-chain aliphatic dicarboxylic acid component (e.g. tetradecane-1,14-dicarboxylic acid) and a >=4C straight-chain alkylene glycol component (preferably 1,4-butanediol or the like) are used by a conventional method to form a polyester. The polyester is used as a binding component to provide the objective fiber. The fiber is preferably a sheath-core conjugated fiber whose surface is made of the above polyester from the viewpoints of the spinnability of the polyester and the properties of the spun fiber.
