Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To control the blight of tree such as rot, etc., by using a controlling agent composed mainly of a specific tar component in a crude wood vinegar having an excellent specific effect, applying the agent to the affected part of the tree or trimmed part of the affected branch and covering the applied controlling agent with a plastic film. CONSTITUTION:The controlling agent used in the present process is composed mainly of a tar component corresponding to distillation fraction of >=103 deg.C of a crude wood vinegar having excellent water-resistance, adhesivity, heat- absorption and decomposition with time. The controlling agent is applied to the affected part, scraped scar of the affected part or barked trace of a tree and covered with a plastic film such as polyvinylidene chloride film, polypropylene film, etc., to enable the control of the tree blight such as rot. The coating film formed by the application is resistant to fall out even in rainy weather. It is not necessary to repeat the application operation to simplify the controlling work. The tough film of the agent prevents the exposure of the affected part and the scattering of spores together with rain drops. Accordingly, the infection to other healthy trees can be prevented and the agent has advantages in environmental sanitariness. |
