Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To reduce the water content in sludge separated from gas treating water in a wet dust collector to increase the hydroxides and carbonates in the sludge, and controlling the pH of the gas treating water to 7.5-9.5. CONSTITUTION:The dust-contg. gas generated in a ferromanganese refining vertical furnace is passed through a dry dust collector 12, a cyclone 13, a submerged vessel 14, a submerged venturi scrubber 15, a submerged vessel 16, and an electrostatic precipitator 17, and purified. the submerged vessels 14 and 16, the venturi scrubber 15, and the electrostatic precipitator 17 constitute the wet dust collector 18 using gas treating water for purifying the gas. The gas is brought into contact with the gas treating water and agitated in one or >=2 devices constituting the wet dust collector 18 to increase the hydroxides and carbonates in sludge, and the pH of the gas treating water is controlled to 7.5-9.5.
