COMMUNICATION CONTROL EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To shorten a fault searching time, by bracketing a fault as the one due to discrepancy between a line accommodating condition, and a line throughput, and a state in use. CONSTITUTION:A line adaptor 4 is provided with line interfaces 5-1 and 5-2 which control an interface with the lines of the assembling/breakdown of a character, an error control, a line connection, and the monitoring of a line, and a line identifying information register 8 which stores a bit of line identifying information. The bit of line identifying information to be used in advance in each line is read at the line identifying information registers 6 of line adaptors 4-1-4-3, and the line throughput, and the line accommodating condition, are checked automatically. The equipment is set at a fault register in a line control part 3 by a microprocessor 1, and it is informed to a service processor, or the host device of a central processing unit through a service processor interface adaptor 7. In this way, it is possible to check the content of a system generation in advance, to prevent mis-setting from being generated, and to shorten an adjusting time when the fault is generated.
