PURPOSE:To quickly and surely perform a large number of nondelivery notices, by storing the position of messages at every moment in the calling side switchboard and by performing nondelivery notcies by using the number of the storing processing device which loses messages due to troubles as a key. CONSTITUTION:A message from a calling party terminal 31 is transmitted to a storage processing device 38a through a line switchboard 37a and once stored in a magnetic disk 27a. The message is transmitted to another storage processing device 38b from the device 38a through an interstation channel 30 and once stored in another magnetic disk device 27b. Then, the message is transmitted to a called party terminal 34 from the device 38b through another line switchboard 37b. When the storage processing device 38b causes troubles, the swutchboard 37a receives the notice and the number of the troubled device 38b is inputted into a typewriter 9a of the switchboard 37a side. The switchboard 37a selects control information stored in a magnetic drum device 7a and transmits the information through a common line controlling device 11 and a signal line 18.
