Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To carry out the positioning of main and subsidiary bearings easily and highly accurately by moving one of main and subsidiary bearings in a defined direction by a defined amount by means of an X-Y table, after the inside diameter centers of said main and subsidiary bearings are measured or positioned by means of an inside diameter center positioning member. CONSTITUTION:A main bearing 3 to which a cylinder 4 is assembled and fixed is set on a holder 16, and a subsidiary bearing 6 is set on a moving table 20 in a lifted condition. Then, the deviations of the centers of these from the inside diameter centers of the main and subsidiary bearings 3, 6 are measured by sensors 18, 22. And, by appropriately moving an X-Y table 17 in X and Y directions mutually crossing at a right angle based on the measured value, the main bearing 3 is positioned in a defined position. Then, the positioning member 18 on the holder 16 side is lowered down to the lower part of the main bearing 3. And, by driving a lifting mechanism 21, the moving table 20 is lowered lowering the subsidiary bearing 6 until it is brought into contact with the cylinder 4. The lowered subsidiary bearing 6 is fixed to the main bearing 3 with a bolt. Thereby, the main and subsidiary bearings can be positioned with high accuracy.
