REMOVER FOR OBSTRUCTION OF PUMP-TYPE DREDGER

PURPOSE:To raise the efficiency of dredging operations, by a method in which a branched cylinder is provided on the way of a ladder inside pipe for removing obstructions. CONSTITUTION:An opening 11 is provided in the halfway downside of the ladder inside pipe 7 of a pump-type dredger 1 and connected with a branched cylinder 12. For the opening 11, also, a shutter 13 and a grate 15 for preventing the intrusion of obstructions are pivotally supported on the main shaft 14. A lower grate 19 is fixed to the inside of the cylinder 12, and a cover 20 for removing obstructions is pivotally supported on the subshaft 21 on the lower end. A rake- out grate 22 is fixed to the cover 20. Obstructions can thus be easily and mechanically removed out without stopping the dredging pump and the efficiency of dredging operation can also be raised.
