Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To achieve a positioning accurately and easily, by a method wherein a hole is drilled at the center of, in front of and on the back of a vibrator to bury an optical fiber scope and a desired positioning is performed monitoring an image of an object to be inspected with the action thereof. CONSTITUTION:A hole is drilled at the center of, in front of and on the back of a vibrator 1b to bury an optical fiber scope 2 and the tip thereof is made to align the undersurface of a probe 1. With the action of the fiber scope 2, an image of an object 4 to be inspected is shown on a monitor TV to adjust the interval between the object 4 being inspected and the probe 1 so that an image containing an inspecting area enters a field of view 22 of the fiber scope 2. At the same time, a scanner is operated to make a scanning start point coincide with the center of the field of view 22. Upon the end of positioning, the probe 1 emits an ultrasonic beam 25 to perform an inspection. This enables the positioning of the probe at a desired point accurately and easily on the object being inspected.
