OPTICAL CARD REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To speed up reproduction while keeping a large storage capacity by reproducing plural sets of information simultaneously from plural pits recorded plural sets of information. CONSTITUTION:A reflected light from an information area 10 comprising plural pits 8 recorded plural sets of information is formed on a CCD array 20 by a reflected light optical system 11, e.g., a rod lens 12, a prism 13 and a rod lens 14, plural photodetectors apply spatial split to the image to detect each pit 8. In applying the operation above over the entire face of an optical recording medium 2, the optical card 1 and the titled device are moved relatively for the purpose of scanning. Thus, plural sets of information are reproduced simultaneously from plural pits recording the plural sets of information to reduce the reproduction time.
