PRODUCTION OF STEEL WIRE FOR WELDING

PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a wire and to reduce the production cost thereof by subjecting the wire to dry drawing then to wet drawing prior to a pretreatment for plating. CONSTITUTION:The high-speed dry drawing is preliminarily executed and the wet drawing with which the drawing is easy and the speed is low is executed prior to the pretreatment for the plating, and in succession, the plating treatment is executed immediate thereafter in the constitution to execute the dry drawing which permits the high-speed dry drawing and the low-speed wet drawing dividedly without coupling the same to each other. The wet drawing is executed prior to the pretreatment for the plating and the stages for coiling, delivering, pretreatment for plating and plating are continuously executed in the constitution to execute the dry drawing and wet drawing continuously. The deposits of the wire after the pretreatment for the plating are decreased and the adhesiveness of copper plating is improved by these methods. The quality of the wire is, therefore, improved and the reduced cost of waste water treatments and the reduced cost of production are obtd.
