Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent a strain from being produced in the teeth of a pulse gear and to improve the magnetic characteristics by compacting and sintering powder of a magnetic material and forming teeth. CONSTITUTION:Powder of a magnetic material as stock is compacted to obtain a green compact corresponding to a rough pulse gear. The compact is sintered and teeth are formed by cold working the sintered body to produce a ring- shaped pulse gear. This pulse gear is fitted to a shaft member. The teeth of the pulse gear made of a magnetic body and having serration arrangement cause a change of magnetic flux to a sensor for detecting the number of rotations in accordance with the rotation of the shaft member.
