Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To provide the title paint capable of forming a coat which hardly penetrates into substrates and has excellent flexibility and adaptability to curved surfaces, by mixing an aq. dispersion of a flaky inorg. material with an org. binder, a cationic surfactant and aq. ammonia. CONSTITUTION:An aq. dispersion of a flaky inorg. material (A) having an aspect ratio of not lower than 100, selected from the group consisting of mica, montmorillonite and vermiculite (e.g., water-swellable mica) is blended with not more than 20wt% org. binder (B) (e.g., an acrylic emulsion), a 6C or higher cationic surfactant (C) (e.g., dodecylammonium chloride), aq. ammonia (D) in such an amount as to give an alkaline pH, and optionally, a scaly pigment and a cationic dye (E) to obtain the title paint. The paint is applied to the surface of a fibrous body of a heat insulating member in a coating weight of 20-100g/m on a dry solid basis in a thickness of 3-30mm and at a density of 50-300kg/m . |
