Zusammenfassung:NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (R1 is methyl, ethyl of CF3; X is NH2, methyl or Cl; Y is O or S; R2 is H or methyl). EXAMPLE:N-(1,1-dimethyl-4-indanyl)-2-chloro-4-methylthiazole-5-carboxylic acid amide. USE:A fungicide for agricultural and horticultural use. PREPARATION:A compound of formula I wherein Y is O can be produced by reacting a compound of formula II with a compound of formula III in a solvent (e.g. THF) at a temperature between 0 deg.C and the boiling point of the solvent in the presence of a proper reaction assistant selected according to the kind of the compound of formula II or its reactive derivative.
