THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDER

PURPOSE:To perform a uniform a release of an ink film and a transfer recording paper from each other and uniformize printed density, by providing a releasing member so disposed as to make contact with the ink film at a point for releasing the ink film and the transfer recording paper from each other, and a pressing member for pressing the film and the paper against the releasing member. CONSTITUTION:A pressing member 11 presses an ink film 1 and a transfer recording paper 4, over the entire width thereof, against a releasing member 8, and comprises a pressure contact roller 12 and a pressing spring 13. The film 1 and the paper 4 are fed while being pressed against a recording part of a thermal head 6 by a platen roller 7, and are selectively heated by the head 6, whereby a heat-fusible or heat-sublimable ink is transferred to the paper 4. The film 1 and the paper 4 are released from each other at the position of the releasing member 8, then the film 1 is taken up by a take-up roll 3, whereas the paper 4 is discharged through a discharging roller 10. During the operation, the pressure contact roller 12 uniformly presses the film 1 and the paper 4 against the releasing member, whereby uniform releasing can be performed, and a uniform printed density is ensured.
