Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To simultaneously and momentarily measure the propagation delay characteristic and the amplitude characteristic by using a frequency to be measured so as to apply amplitude modulation to a reference signal having a pulse width of a degree to obtain a prescribed amplitude substantially and a measured signal with a short pulse width at the reception side and sending the result. CONSTITUTION:A transmission signal outputted from a transmission signal generating section includes a reference signal 8 being a reference to the time and amplitude and a measuring signal 9 to measure the delay time and the amplitude of a multiplex wave. The amplitudes of the received reference signal 8' and the received measuring signal are respectively A', B0', B1', B2'... and multiple wave signals 9 , 9 ... come after delay times F1, F2... respectively depending on the propagation path length after the main wave signal 9 comes. Even when distortion is caused in the received reference signal 8' due to a multiplex wave, the reference amplitude is maintained by selecting properly the pulse width of the reference signal 8 at the transmission side. The propagation path length difference is obtained by dividing the light velocity by the delay times F1, F2... respectively. |
