Zusammenfassung:	In a hydrogen discharge lamp having a quartz-glass tube and electrodes arranged therein which comprise mixed oxides of barium, calcium or strontium as emitter material, emitter material deposits on the tube inside wall and reduces the high UV radiation transparency of the pure quartz glass as a result of chemical reaction. According to the invention, borosilicate glass is provided on the inside of the tube facing the discharge.
