DETECTING DEVICE FOR YARN FALLING DEFECT ON END FACE OF CHEESE PRODUCT

PURPOSE:To surely detect a yarn falling defect by photographing the end face of a rotating cheese product by a video camera at every defined time and converting its signal into a row of digital data by a converter and storing the data in a picture image memory and, further, storing the data in a two dimensional picture image memory and processing the picture image. CONSTITUTION:The end face 23 of a rotated cheese product 22 is illuminated by an illuminating means 26 and photographed by a video camera at every defined interval of time, and its outputted analog image signal is fed into an analog-digital converter 42 and converted into a row of digital data. The digital data of a picture image photographed by a defined interval is rewritten and stored in a first stage picture image memory 44 in order. Further, the rewritten and stored digital data of line and band like picture image part is stored in a second stage picture image memory. The digital data of this line and band like picture image is fed to a picture image processing means 43 and the arc shaped pattern of a yarn falling defect is distinguished and detected.
