FOOD CONTAINER

PURPOSE:To obtain a food container excellent in weighty feeling, strength and surface qualitative feeling, by molding a material composed of a composition consisting of a metal base component and a metallo-phile thermoplastic resin composition component. CONSTITUTION:A material composed of a composition consisting of 30-95 wt.% of a metal base component and 70-5 wt.% of a metallo-phile thermoplastic resin composition component is molded. As the metal base component, a powdery metal or a whisker like or fibrous metal can be used and a mixture obtained by compounding 1-10 pts.wt. of a potassium titanate fiber with 100 pts.wt. of a zinc powder and/or a zinc coated metal powder or metal compound or a metal powder or fiber subjected to water repelling treatment can be used. As the metallo-phile resin composition, a mixture obtained by compounding 3-12 pts.wt. of an atactic polypropylene or 2-20 pts.wt. of a chemically modified polypropylene resin with 100 pts.wt. of a resin such as a polyethylene resin or a polypropylene resin is used.
