JIG PALLET STRUCTURE FOR ASSEMBLY LINE

PURPOSE:To aim at enhancing the efficiency of assembly work by providing a means for easily and precisely changing the position or direction of a workpiece on a jig pallet for an assembly line for transmissions in order to position the workpiece. CONSTITUTION:A workpiece 3 is set on a receiving plate 18 which is located on a pallet body 7 while it is conveyed by a power roller 6 so as to be led into an oil removing station. Then, a cylinder device 8 is actuated to push up the pallet body 7 together with the workpiece 3 and the receiving plate 18. Further, the cylinder device 17 is actuated at a position as shown so as to move a clamp arm 15 in the horizontal direction to allow a projection 16 to engage into a recess 19, and accordingly, the receiving plate 18 is clamped. Further, a cylinder device 24 is operated so as to connect a coupler 23 with a connection pipe 22. Then, an arm 14 is turned about a shaft 13 by about 90 deg. Accordingly, the workpiece 3 is also rotated so that the direction of the connection pipe 22 becomes vertical, thereby oil is discharged from the workpiece 3 through the pipe 22 and the coupler 23.
