COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To improve the performance of transfer of channel selection information and to remarkably relieve the load of the user by providing a memory device storing variout parameters in advance as a cartridge from the outside of the titled communication equipment attachably and detachably. CONSTITUTION:A memory cartridge 50 is connected to a main body section 52 via a connector 64. A communication equipment channel selection control section 68 receives a control instruction given via a keyboard input discrimination section 74 and a system control section 72 from a keyboard 12 and a control instruction read from a communication parameter storage section 58 of the cartridge 50 and gives a tuning instructed to a communication equipment 66. The read data are displayed on a channel data display section 56. Moreover, a station identification parameter is read from an attribute parameter storage section 60 and displayed on an attribute display section 58. Only a channel representing the attribute is selected, the data are transferred to the control section 68, which controls the communication equipment 66 so as to attain the communication with, e.g. a fire department or the like.
