Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain the optimum superconductivitity for a superconductive magnet material by making the ratio between the apparent density and the true density of a ceramic superconductive material 0.5 or more. CONSTITUTION:The ratio between the apparent density and the true density of a ceramic superconductive material is made 0.5 or more in a ceramic superconductive wire rod made of the ceramic superconductive material enveloped with a metal coating. The apparent density is the ratio (g/cm ) between the volume (cm ) in the metal coating in which ceramic exists and the weight (g) of the ceramic of that portion, and the true density is the ratio between the volume V0 of the ceramic excluding the volume of the portion of voids and cracks contained in the ceramic and the weight W0. The ceramic superconductive material which has been difficult to be utilized can be thereby obtained easily as a wire rod or a foil.
