Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To improve the cleaning efficiency and to prolong a roll service life by allowing to contact a non-woven fabric composed of an extra fine fiber with a steel strip and to remove a substance sticking on the surface of the steel strip. CONSTITUTION:The non-woven fabric roll 2 is composed of the extra fine fabrics of 1-3mum fiber diameters, rotating reversely to the advancing direction of the steel strip 1 to remove the sticking substance on the surface of the steel strip 1. Then, as the non-woven fabric 2 has a sponge effect, the removing effect of the sticking substance is improved and a polishing nonuniformity is eliminated. Compared with a roll composed of metallic brushes, because the non-woven fabric roll 2 is composed of the nonmetallic fiber, its abrasion loss is drastically reduced. Therefore, the removing efficiency of the sticking substance is improved and the service life of the non-woven fabric roll is extended.
