Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To stably execute production of powder metal by atomizing method of fluid jetting by adjusting the pressure difference between a nozzle box fitting a ring nozzle and inner part of all atmizing chamber below the nozzle box to the specific value at the time of atomizing a molten metal flow by the fluid jetting from the ring nozzle. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal 3 in the intermediate tundish 2 is flowed down from a bottom hole by drawing up a stopper 1 and jet 9 by the jetting medium of liquid, such as water, or gas, such as air, etc., from the ring nozzle 7 in the nozzle box 4 is jetted into the atomizing chamber 5, to atomize the molten metal and cool, and separate into the metal powder and the jetting medium at a separating vessel 6 through the jet discharging pipe 15. In this case, the atmosphere gas in the apparatus is circulated to the nozzle box 4 and the atomizing chamber 5 by piping for circulation 12, 13, and by adjusting the difference P=P1-P2 between the pressure P1 in the nozzle box 4 and the pressure P2 in the atomizing chamber 5 to 350-700 mm Hg in case of liquid or 10-400 mm Hg in case of gas as the jetting medium, and by making the pressure in the atomizing room 5 to negative pressure and the atomizing angle of the jetting medium to >=30 deg.C, clogging of the nozzle 7 is prevented and atomization of the molten metal is stabilized.
