SHEET FEEDING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To perform a stable action to feed sheets even when sheets having rigidity are fed, by a method wherein a sheet guide plate is formed by a resilient material, and the tip of the sheet guide plate is extended in a sheet advancing direction beyond a point of contact between a pair of sheet separating mechanisms. CONSTITUTION:A sheet 1 is guided onto a guide plate 7 by means of a feed roller, and the sheet guide plate 7 is formed by a resilient material. Since the tip of the guide plate 7 is extended in a sheet advancing direction beyond a point of contact between a pair of sheet separating rollers 4 and 5, the sheet 1 is collided with a rotation roller 4. Even when a press force is exerted thereon from the back by means of the feed roller, the sheet is supported in a flat state by means of the extension part of the sheet guide plate 7. When the sheet 1 is guided in the rotation direction of the rotation roller 4, the sheet guide plate 7 formed by a resilient material is bent, and the sheet 1 is guided to the point of contact between the separation rollers 4 and 5.
