Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent losses of programs and data due to unprepared or careless mistakes so as to improve the effect of data processing by means of a personal computer, by installing a switch to the power supply circuit of a ROM cartridge and controlling the power supply to a ROM section by opening and closing the switch and, at the same time, chip select signals. CONSTITUTION:A power supply line 10 which is a power supplying means and a switch 2 which turns on and off the power source are installed to ROM cartridge can be executed when the switch 2 is turned on. As a result, a personal computer can continuously execute the currently executed program until the switch 2 installed to the cartridge 1 is turned on. Therefore, destruction of the program can be prevented and, at the same time, the personal computer can be caused to execute another program while the ROM cartridge 1 is inserted if the switch 2 is turned off even though the ROM cartridge 1 is inserted to the slot of the computer.
