MAGNETIC DISK DEVICE

PURPOSE:To execute the positioning at the time of following without delay but with fine accuracy even if a disturbance is in action by providing an acceleration detecting means and feedbacking this detected signal to a positioning control for the time of the following operation. CONSTITUTION:With such a magnetic disk device that a magnetic head 9 is positionally controlled into a prescribed track position of a magnetic disk 10 surface by a servo control, the acceleration detecting means 12 is provided for detecting an acceleration of a track being followed by the magnetic head 9, and this detected signal is fed back to the positioning control for the time of following. By this method, a following delay generated at the time of a disturbance acting in the moving direction of the magnetic head 9 during the following operation of the magnetic head 9 can thus be reduced.
