SEALING STRUCTURE FOR AUTOMOBILE SASHLESS WINDOW

PURPOSE:To aim at the flushness of two panels and the guarantee of watertightness by matching the side edge of a body panel with the surface of a window panel, extending this edge to some extent and making a weather strip closely contact with a steppedly formed terminal of the side edge. CONSTITUTION:A side edge 11a of a roof panel 11 as a body panel is matched with the surface of door glass 9 as a window panel, and it is extended up to the vicinity of a peripheral edge of the door glass 9 at a closed position. And, a terminal 11b of the side edge 11a is formed into stepped formation at the car room side. And, a retainer 7 is attached to the terminal 11b via a sealant 13, while a weather strip 8, to closely contact with the door glass 9, is attached to this retainer 7. On the other hand, bracket 15, extending to the car outside along an upper surface face of the weather strip 8, is attached to a lower surface of the retainer, while a holder 17, to be installed in a parting part 16 between the roof panel 11 and the weather strip 8, is attached to this bracket 15.
