Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To prevent the seizure of a stopper head and to reduce the cost of equipment by constituting the stopper head part abutting on an inlet of a pouring nozzle by non-burning body containing refractory aggregate as main part and the specific wt% of organic binder. CONSTITUTION:A molten metal pouring device 5 is composed of the stopper 6, pouring nozzle 7, sliding nozzle 8, and a submerged nozzle 9 is arranged at the lower part of nozzle 8. The head part of the stopper 6 abutting at least on the upper inlet of the nozzle 7, is formed by the non-sintering body containing the refractoriness aggregate, such as magnesia, etc., as main part and 3-20% organic binder, such as phenol resin, etc. By such a mechanism, during the time from starting of pouring the molten metal into the tundish 2 to opening of nozzle 7 hole, the organic binder in the head is gasified by the molten metal heat, and by breaking down gradually the refractory aggregate, the seizure between the nozzle 7 and head is prevented to reduce the cost of equipment.
