Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a herbicidal composition, containing edifenphos and an active ingredient of a specific herbicide in combination, having excellent synergistic and selective controlling effects on weeds in paddy fields, etc., in a small amount of chemical by the herbicidal active ingredient and useful for application before or after germination of plants. CONSTITUTION:A herbicidal composition containing (A) edifenphos (= O-ethyl-S, S-diphenyl phosphorodithioate), expressed by the formula and capable of exhibiting excellent germicidal activity as a controlling agent particularly against blast of rice plant and (B) at least one herbicide selected from haloacetamide based herbicides, such as butachlor, thiolcarbamate based herbicides, such as molinate, oxyacetamide based herbicides, such as 2-(4- chloro-5-difluoromethylthiazol-2-yloxy)-acetic acid N-methylanilide, urea based herbicides, such as dymron, and organic phosphoric acid ester based herbicides, such as piperophos, which are well-known herbicides at 1:0.01-15, preferably 1:0.1-10 weight ratio of the ingredients (A) to (B).
