RATICIDE

PURPOSE:To obtain a raticide in a chip state, having high intake of rat, showing excellent raticidal effects, by molding a raticidal component and an edible carrier into a specific shape and size. CONSTITUTION:A raticidal component is uniformly blended with an edible carrier, mixed with a solution obtained by dissolving water-soluble components such as a seasoning agent, a colorant and a preservative in normal water at 60-70 deg.C, sufficiently kneaded and prepared into proper soft lump. The soft lump is extruded from a nozzle with a specific shape and size of an extruder, dried at 70-80 deg.C, molded into a rectangular parallelepiped having a ratio of length, width and height of 1.8-2.5:1.3-1.7:1 and 3-6mm height, most preferably the ratio of length, width and height of 10mm, 7mm and 5mm and cut to give a raticide. Scilliroside, norbormide and warfarin are used as the raticidal component and grains such as wheat flour, potato starch, bread crumb and maize flour, miscellaneous cereals, vegetable oil such as peanut oil or colza oil or seasoning such as lactose, glucose or Guinea pepper tincture is used as the edible carrier.
