Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To shorten a repeated period of an operation by moving two sets of scan optical systems in the reverse direction to each other, switching the direction of a pair of switching reflecting mirrors to the scan optical system side of a scan moving side, and executing a slit synchronizing exposure by the other scan optical system at the time of a return movement of one scan optical system. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnetic clutch 35 is conducted electrically, an electrophotographic photosensitive drum 19 is driven by operating a driving motor 33, and also, by bringing a mirror holder 26 to a scan movement, an optical path from a microfilm 11 is led to the drum 19 through reflecting mirrors 15, 24a, 24b and 23. As a result with respect to the rotation of the drum 19, image information is brought to a slit synchronizing scan exposure. Subsequently, when the mirror holder 26 reaches a scanning end position, on the contrary, a mirror holder 27 reaches a scan start position, and by operating a switching motor 17, a switching axis 16 is turned so that the reflecting mirror 15 turns to a reflecting mirror 25a for scanning, and simultaneously, by conducting electrically only the electromagnetic clutch, the mirror holder 27 is brought to a scanning movement. In such a way, an operation can be executed by shortening a repeated period.
