JOB DISCRIMINATION NUMBER UNIFYING SYSTEM IN MULTIPLEX HOST SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To simplify the job operation and management of a job to be executed by unifying global job discrimination numbers in a multiplex host system sharing a spool file between multiplex hosts. CONSTITUTION:When a global job is applied to each host, a global job discrimi nation number acquisition request is outputted from the host and received by a global job discrimination number acquiring means 20. Exclusive control of access to a maximum global discrimination number storing part 40 between respective hosts is executed by a maximum global discrimination number storing part exclusive controller 30, and when an accessible state is kept, a global job discrimination number to be successively allocated obtained by referring the storing part 40 is allocated to the global job. Then, the storing part 40 is updated and the end of access to the storing part 40 is informed to the control part 30.
