Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve the productivity of a superconductive material by using a highly conductive graphite fiber and superconductive oxide as core and sheath, respectively, thereby enabling the formation of the superconductive material as a long wire. CONSTITUTION:A low specific gravity and superconductive characteristic of high critical temperature are obtained with the use of highly conductive graphite fiber as a core material 1 and superconductive oxide as a sheath 2, respectively. The highly conductive graphite fiber for the core material 1 can be product continuously as an endless fiber, and also a long wire can be produced continuously by applying a gaseous phase coating to the shease member 2. An improvement in productivity can be made in this manner.
