PROGRAM DEBUGGING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To easily detect a logical error by adding a debugging pattern into a subroutine of a program so that the completion or non-completion of the debug is quantitatively discriminated from the debug executing frequency. CONSTITUTION:A program consists of a main routine 1.1 and subroutines 1.2 and 1.3 and a debugging pattern 2.5 is added to a subroutine (n) requiring the debug. When the debug is carried out, the pattern 2.5 is retrieved and the value of an executing frequency memory part 2.4 in the pattern 2.5 is read out for discrimination of subroutines. Then a debug completion part is discriminated from a non-completion part. For instance, the completion and the non-completion of the debug are decided when the values of memory parts 2.4A and 2.4B are equal or not equal to each other respectively. Thus the completion or non- completion of the debug is quantitatively discriminated based on the debug executing frequency. As a result, a logical error is easily detected.
