PRELOADER DEVICE FOR SEAT BELT

PURPOSE:To improve safety required during collision, by a method wherein a clamp device, clamping a seat belt in a position right after a retractor device at the time of collision, and a tractor device, further retracting a seat belt, are provided integrally. CONSTITUTION:A preloader device 10 is disposed in a position in the vicinity of the seat belt delivery port of a retractor device with an automatic lock operated at the time of emergency. The preloader device 10 has a pulley 15 rotated resulting from traction of a wire 16 at the time of collision. Rotation of the pulley 15 causes rotation of a stationary clamp member 17 formed inte grally with a side disc 12 and a moving clamp member 18, pivotally supported at 19 to the side disc 12. The moving clamp member 18 is inclined along with press of a seat belt resulting from collision of an end circular part 18b of the moving clamp member 18 with a seat belt 3, and the set belt 3 is beaten be tween two clamp teeth 17a and 18a. Simultaneously, the seat belt 3 is traced by the end circular part 18b to exert reliable tension.
