Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To safely form a plated layer good in adhesion and coating properties, by immersing Al material subjected to zinc substitution treatment into an acidic aq. soln. incorporating NiSO4 or NiCl2 and NaPH2O2 and thereafter performing electroplating. CONSTITUTION:After subjecting Al and Al alloy material to prescribed pretreatment, zinc substitution treatment is performed by immersing them into a ZnO bath contg. NaOH. Then the Al material is immersed into an acidic aq. soln. incorporating about 5-7g/l (as NI) NiSO4 or NiCl2 and about 6-13g/l NaPH2O2. Thereby a plated intermediate layer of Ni-P alloy having good adhesion and coating properties is formed on the surface of the Al material. Thereafter electroplating is performed in a soln. contg. metallic ions such as Cu, Ni and Cr by using the Al material as a cathode. Thereby plating good in adhesion and coating properties can be performed.
