Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve the welding workability by incorporating specific weight % MgO containing dolomite and/or magnesite and incorporating prescribed % iron oxide, TiO2 and a SiO2 conversion component respectively in a coating material. CONSTITUTION:A 0.1-7.0wt.% MgO component containing the dolomite and/or magnesite is incorporated in the coating material and the 7-25% iron oxide, 8-19% TiO2 and 10-30% SiO2 conversion component such as water glass, etc., and a 5-27% Mn conversion component are incorporated therein. Further, a weight ratio of the coating material to an electrode is regulated to 0.1-0.19 to form a coated electrode. The cellulose content in the coating material is regulated to about 20-40%. Since the dolomite or magnesite are contained as a MgO source, the abnormal deposition, the obstacle of slag and the pit resistance at the time of welding are improved. Accordingly, the welding workability is improved.
