Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To enable transaction data to be printed in a correct line in a passbook, by printing new transaction data in the passbook according to a read printing line when it is verified by an operator that the balance after the final transaction is correct on the basis of a magnetic stripe provided in the passbook, and displaying an overstriking alarm and inputting a correct printing line when the correct balance after the final transaction is inputted by the operator. CONSTITUTION:When a read balance and a balance printed in a passbook accord with each other and a verification key is pressed, a receipt/payment amount input guide screen for a new transaction or the like is displayed according to inputted business selection and receipt/payment selection, and when the receipt or payment amount is inputted, a passbook A take-in and printing guide screen is displayed. When a passbook A is set in position, it is taken in by controlling a printing part 5. When a printing command is inputted from a keyboard 2, balance data and printing line data stored in a magnetic stripe data buffer 7 are written into a magnetic stripe in the passbook A by controlling a magnetic stripe controlling part 4, and transaction data and a new balance after the input and output are printed in the passbook A on the basis of the printing line data in the buffer 7. When a deletion key is pressed and a balance in the passbook is inputted, an alarm indicative of abnormality as to the number of printing lines is displayed.
