DOOR STRUCTURE FOR AUTOMOBILE

PURPOSE:To prevent a panel from floating by a negative pressure in traveling, by providing a holding member with a door frame, the member is in abutment with the upper edge portion of a door window panel on the outside of a compartment and enables the upper edge portion to be held in abutment against a seal member. CONSTITUTION:A door window panel 20 is located on the same surface with the outside surface is a roof side rail 21 confronting a compartment which forms a door opening and the inside surface thereof confronting the compartment is provided with a door frame 23. In the case, a holding member 30 extending along an upper edge portion 22 of the panel is attached to the outside upper portion of the door frame 23 confronting the compartment. The holding member 30 is provided with a flange confronting the upper edge 24 of the panel 20 and the outside surface 25 of the upper edge portion 22 confronting the compartment and an abutting member 32 in abutment against the outside surface 25 of the compartment likewise, respectively. A glass run 35 as a seal member is attached to the inside of the flange. With the arrangement, when the panel 20 floats because a negative pressure is produced on the outside of the compartment, the floating is prevented by holding the panel 20 by the holding member 30.
