DISK LOADING MECHANISM FOR FRONT LOADING DISK PLAYER

PURPOSE:To selectively load plural disks of different outer diameters by securing such a constitution where a disk moves to the inner part of a disk player only when the disk is positioned at a prescribed position according to a prescribed outer diameter. CONSTITUTION:When a large-size disk 1a is loaded, the rotary levers 3a and 3b turn shallowly and the projections 8 of both levers are set in the outer grooves 6a and 6d of a disk stage 5. Then a disk holding plate 2 can move in the loading direction of the disk 1a. While both levers 3a and 3b turn deeply when a small-size disk 1b is loaded. In this case, the projections 8 are set in the inner grooves 6b and 6c and the plate 2 can move in the loading direction of the disk 1b. When the disk 1 moves to the inside of a disk player by a prescribed amount, a chuck and draw-in means 20 works to chuck and draw the disk 1 into a prescribed position of the player. In such a way, plural disks of different diameters are loaded selectively.
