PRODUCTION OF OPTICAL DISK SUBSTRATE

PURPOSE:To surely strip a substrate without flawing a stamper surface by injecting a resin between the stamper which is curved upward in the outside circumferential part and a specular surface plate, releasing the curving after curing of the resin and press-fitting a wedge-like knife into the spacing generated thereafter. CONSTITUTION:The vinyl ester resin 6 is injected through a port 4 into the spacing between the stamper 1 having the curved part 3 which is curved upward in the outside circumferential part and the specular surface plate 5. The curving of the curved part 3 is returned after curing of the resin. The sharp-edged wedge-like knife 7 is press-fitted into the spacing generated in the outside circumferential part of the resin to strip the substrate. The substrate is cut to a prescribed shape. The substrate is, therefore, surely stripped without flawing the stamper surface.
