Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent the side etching of an org. high-polymer layer (color material layer) which is heretofore generated in a developing process after exposing of an image forming material by using a specific high polymer in combination as a binder for the org. polymer layer contg. the color material. CONSTITUTION:The image forming material is formed by basically providing a substrate, the org. high-polymer layer (color material layer) contg. the color material and a photosensitive resin layer in this order. A material which is chemically and thermally stable and has flexibility is used as the material for the substrate. The org. high-polymer layer is the layer consisting of the color material and the binder contg. said material. The binder contains a copolymer consisting of an aralkyl acrylate and/or aralkyl methacrylate and acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid. The aralkyl acrylate is exemplified by a benzyl acrylate, etc., and the aralkyl methacrylate is exemplified by a benzyl methacrylate, etc.
