TREATMENT OF MOLTEN SLAG OF WASTE WATER SLUDGE

PURPOSE:To take out molten slag continuously in the form of high utilization value by receiving the molten slag of the waste water sludge falling from a melting furnace into a receiver having cooling means and oscillating means, cooling the slag to form granular solid bodies and moving such bodies in one direction under the oscillation applied thereto. CONSTITUTION:The molten slag 5 falling from the melting furnace 1 is received in the receiver 2 having the cooling means 3 and the oscillating means 4 in the treatment of the molten slag generated when the sludge of a waste water treatment is subjected to an incinerating and melting treatment. The molten slag is then cooled to form the granular solid bodies 6 and the oscillation is applied thereto to move the solid bodies in one direction. The solid bodies are thus continuously taken out of the receiver 2. Namely, the molten slag generated by the incineration treatment of the waste water sludge is safely and surely taken out continuously in the form of a high utilization value without necessitating high equipment cost and fuel cost.
