WATER SPLASHING DEVICE USED IN RED LEAF REMOVING MACHINE FOR LEAF WELSH ONION OR THE LIKE

PURPOSE:To make it possible to remove only red leaves of Welsh onion without damaging leaf Welsh onion, by setting nozzles slantingly and inwardly in such a way that splashed waterdrops are concentrated on the central part of section of inserting cylinder and laying an air intake between a splashed waterdrops concentrating part and a water feed pipe. CONSTITUTION:A ring-shaped water feed pipe 3 is arranged at the insertion side of an inserting cylinder 1 for a material to be treated and at least three nozzles 4 having a waterdrop splashing shape of an unfolded fan and of circular section are set in the water feed pipe 3 at approximately equal intervals. The nozzles 3 are slantingly and inwardly set in such a way that splashed waterdrops 4 are concentrated on the central part O of section of the inserting cylinder 1. Further between the concentration part O of the splashed waterdrops and the water feed pipe 3, a continuous or noncontinuous air intake 5 is set in the circumferential direction of the inserting cylinder 1 along the whole inserting cylinder 1. Consequently, only red leaves of Welsh onion can be efficiently and automatically removed without damaging Welsh onion itself.
