KANA/KANJI CONVERTING METHOD

PURPOSE:To reduce key operating frequencies and at the same time to improve the efficiency of KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI (Chinese characters) conversion, by fractionizing the conversion unit to correct converting mistakes which are produced at the time of batch KANA/KANJI conversion. CONSTITUTION:An operator supplies a desired sentence in KANA through a key input device 1 and then pushes a batch conversion key for batch conversion of KANA sentences into KANJI. Then a cursor is moved to the head of a mistaken conversion part according to the converting state and two paragraphs subsequent to the present cursor position are reset to the KANA state with push of a cancel key. When a KANA/KANJI conversion mode is indicated with push of a key, a KANA/KANJI conversion mechanism 5 retrieves a dictionary buffer 4 to carry out a KANA/KANJI converting job. Then the cursor is moved to the head position of the next object of conversion to fix the conversion after confirming that the KANA/KANJI conversion has no mistake. The cancel key is pushed again to return two paragraphs subsequent to the present cursor position to the KANA state. Hereafter, similar operations are repeated to perform the KANA/KANJI converting jobs.
