Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To prevent a rapid decreasing in temperature in a circulation type bath furnace by a method wherein a lid is composed of a hot water port lid and a fixing parts for the hot water port. CONSTITUTION:A plate-like lid 1 which is composed of a weight 2 closely contacted with a hot water port and of a fixing parts 3 is made movable. When a flame in a furnace is ignited, the lid is opened with an injection of hot water and the lid is closed when the flame is diminished so as to prevent a reverse flow of the hot water. When the lid 1 is fixed to the hot water port, a rapid decrease of temperature is prevented and fuel can be saved.
