METHOD FOR CONNECTING JOINT TO HOSE

PURPOSE:To eliminate machining work and facilitate the manufacture and at the same time contrive to reduce the weight of joining and connect a joint to a hose by a method wherein a metallic fixing piece is fixed to the end of the hose and, after that, covered with synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:A cushioning medium 21, in which a core bar 22 is inserted, is inserted in the center hole of a hose 20, which is inserted in a fixing metal piece 23. Punches 26, at the tip of which clamping blocks 27 are protrusively provided, are pressed towards the center of the hose 20 so as to produce clamping marks by plastically deforming the outer periphery of the metal piece 23. At that time, turned-up parts 24 and 25 are left at both the side ends of the metal piece 23. After that, the cushioning medium 21 and the core bar 22 are pulled out of the hose. Molds 30 and 31 are brought into close contact with each other so as to set the hose 20 in the molds 30 and 31 under the state that a protective bar 36 is inserted in the center hole of the hose 20 and further an oil hole bar 37 is inserted from the left side into the mold 30. After that, molten synthetic resin is poured from a locating ring 35 so as to fill cavities 32 and 33 and cured in order to form a joint 40 integrally.
